Case : Asahi Glass Company: Diversification Strategy

Case Preparation Question

1. What was the need for AGC to diversify? How successful has AGCs diversification been?
2. What should AGC do with its electronics business?

This does not require a submission. Rather, these are just guiding questions along with all
students are required to prepare the case analysis, primarily for engaged class participation.

Group 6 is required to make the presentation on case analyses. The presentation group should
mail me a soft copy of their presentation {kaushik@iimcal.ac.in, with a copy to a) all group
members, and b) Ms. Aditi Patra at aditip_tta@iimcal.ac.in} by 8:00 AM of 11th January.

Points to be noted for preparing the presentation

Refrain from stating the case facts at the start of the presentation. All group members need not
present. However, questions can be directed to any member. Please restrict your presentation to
30 minutes.
