INTRODUCTION
Sordaria is a fungus, and it allows the study of different aspects of meiosis by
observing the arrangement of ascospores inside the ascus. It helps teaches about
crossing over. Crossing over is when two homologous chromosomes swap genetic
information.
These are examples of the ascospores inside the ascus, and that are used to collect data
for the table below.

CONCLUSION:After analyzing the data it can be seen that crossing over did occur in
our Sordaria Lab. In this lab specifically we can see both mitosis and meiosis occurred. The
table is valid proof of that. There are also more crossing over then there is no crossing
over.
