I am writing this reference letter at the request of Sequoia Shoemaker. She has asked me to
write this general letter for her admission to your institute of learning.

I have known Sequoia for 4 years in my capacity as her mathematics teacher. I taught Sequoia
9th grade math. While in 9th grade math, Sequoia earned a B for the year. She currently
maintains an A average in my 12th grade math class. Her behavior in class is superior. She is
the model student. She is always early and well-prepared for the lesson of the day. Her grades
ranked in the top 10% of my class. She is currently ranked in the top 20% of her graduating
class. Sequoia serves in many volunteering opportunities. Sequoia is a true leader of her peers.
She serves as a mentor and tutor for the underclassmen at Jonesboro High School. Andres
attendance is also superior.
Sequoia often exhibits excellent leadership skills in my class. She often volunteers to answer
even the most difficult questions. She leads her group and She class in classroom discussions.
Sequoia is well-organized. She is detailed and a speedy learner that works with minimum
continued instruction. Sequoia is very diverse in that She works well with others as well as
working alone. Sequoia pays attention to details.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Sequoia to your institution of learning. If her

performance in my class is any indication of how She would perform at your university, Sequoia
