Dear Families,

My name is Dairecka and I am student teaching in your childs class for the next
six weeks. I will be graduating this May from Neumann University with a degree in Early
Childhood and Special Education. I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach in
Mrs. Hermans class.

Throughout my time at Neumann I have had a wide variety of opportunities that

have helped me prepare for this. I have experience in preschools, catholic/private
schools, and public school settings for both special and general education. I was
fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to Europe and teach English to
Spanish speaking students. For the past three years I have worked as a reading
support teacher and assistant teacher for grades Preschool through Fifth grade.

It has taken a lot of hard work, but it has been worth it. I graduated from Rose
Tree Media School District and went through Indian Lane. When I was in the first grade I
had Mrs. Herman and she along with many of the Indian Lane staff have strongly
impacted my life to become a teacher. Having the opportunity to come back and work
along side them has been a dream of mine for years. Im really looking forward to
experiencing it with your child as I get to know and learn from him or her in anyway I
can during our time together.
