Sonnet (Revised)

The garden begins its life in the spring,

The farmer plants his crops after the cold.

The flowers bloom as the dawning bells ring,

And then live to die as the year grows old.

The seeds start as infants, young and afraid.

Living in the warm earth, they germinate.

As time passed by, the seeds grew up and played

Slowly in the soft ground, they vegetate.

The good farmer reaps his crop in the fall,

While the foolish leaves the weeds to destroy.

Permits the dandelions to grow tall,

And plays with his shovel as if a toy.

He wishes for his crops to grow and grow,

But as the year ends, theres nothing to show.
