My name is Ashley Pappin and I am a recent graduate of Durham College, from the Social
Service Worker program. I would like to apply to Community Living APW for a full time
position. My availability is currently open to everyday of the week.

I have always had a keen interest in working with individuals who are developmentally
disabled, which is what influenced my decision to study social services at Durham. Through
both volunteering and employment openings, I have had the opportunity to become self-
dependent, while still being confident in working in groups, thus leading me to be both
reliable and responsible. Through most of my previous jobs, Ive been a team leader. This
allowed me to develop appropriate leadership skills by delegating the suitable roles and
responsibilities to each team member, ensuring us to successfully reach our goals and
objectives.

I have many skills which I am able to contribute to the position at Community Living
APW. My exceptional communicational skills allow me to interact with members of an
organization from a variety of ability levels. I am organized, dependent, accepting, and
efficient and I always strive to complete any challenge given to me to the highest
standards.
