Eligibility: Hons in the relevant subject in 2013 / 2014.

3 . i) Two-year M.Com. Course

ii) Two-year M.B.A. Course( AICTE approved )
Eligibility: For SL.NO.(i), Honours in Commerce / Accountancy in 2013/2014. For SL.NO.(ii),
Graduate in Science / Arts / Commerce / Medical / Engineering / Law (5-year) under 10+2+3
stream or equivalent with 45% marks in Hons. or in aggregate ( 40% marks for SC / ST ).
Selection will be made through Entrance Test Like JEMAT, MAT, CAT or own test followed by
Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
4. Two-year M.Sc. Courses in (i) Anthropology, (ii) Applied Mathematics, (iii) Bio-medical
Laboratory Science and Management,(iv) Botany, (v) Chemistry, (vi) Clinical Nutrition and

ELIGIBILITY TO APLICATION:
For M.Sc., Honours in 2013/2014. For M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, Botany, Chemistry,
Geography, Microbiology, Human Physiology, Physics, Zoology-Honours in the relevant
subject in 2013/2014. For M.SC in Anthropology, Honours in Anthropology
(preferred)/Botany/ Zoology/ Physiology/ Social Science/Geography (preference will be given to
those having Anthropology as pass subject). For Bio-Medical Laboratory Science and
Management, BMLT/M.Sc in Human Physiology in 2013-2014/B.Sc(H) in Physiology/
Zoology / Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/ Botany/ Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology/B.Sc with
DMLT. / B.Sc in Laboratory Instrumentation/BAMS/BHMS/MBBS. For Clinical Nutrition &
Dietetics-Hons in Nutrition/Nutrition and Dietetics/Food Science/Clinical
Nutrition/Physiology/Home Science/Microbiology/ B.Sc in Nursing/BHMS/ Major subject in
Clinical Nutrition/ Human Development. For M.Sc.in Computer Science, Hons in Computer
Science/Physics/Mathematics. For M.Sc. in Electronics, Hons in Electronics/Physics. For
Fisheries Science, Hons in Aquaculture Management & Technology/Zoology/ Marine Science/

Zoology as one of the subsidiary subject/ Vocational Course in Industrial Fish &Fisheries. For
Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Science, Honours in Geography /
Geology/Agricultural Science./Bio Science/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics/Computer
Science/Electronics.
5. For 1 year PG Diploma in Quality Control & Assurance in Microbial Technology M.Sc
in Biological Science/ Chemistry, M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering/ Biotechnology.
6. One year P.G. Diploma Course in Applied Computer Science
Eligibility: Graduate ( Pass/ Hons. ) in any subject . Science Graduates are preferred
7. Diploma Course in Advanced Hardware & Networking Administration ( 6 months ) .
Eligibility: At least H.S. passed.
8. Certificate Course in Basic & Advance Java ( 3 months )
Eligibility : At least H.S. passed
9. One year Diploma Course in Office Automation and Internet Technologies
Eligibility : P.G. / UG Regular /Ex-students of this University in any discipline

Procedure for Application:

(a) Online Version : Application Form can be submitted through online version available at
website( http://onlineadmission.vidyasagar.ac.in ). After successful submission of the form ,
applicant should send printed version of the application form, self attested photocopy of all
testimonials and copy of Bank Challan (University copy) of Rs.100/ to the Office of the
Secretary, Faculty Councils for PG Studies on or before the last date of submission(as
mentionedintheAdmissionNotification)bypost,courierorbyhand.TheamountofRs.100/
maybedepositedinanybranchofUCOBankthroughChallan(availableinuniversitywebsite)

(b) Off-line Version : Application Form is available at

http://onlineadmission.vidyasagar.ac.in

Filled in off-line version of the application form should be submitted to the Office of the
Secretary, Faculty Councils for PG Studies, Vidyasagar University along with the self attested
photocopy of all testimonials and copy of Bank Challan (University copy) of Rs.100/- on or
before the last date of submission (as mentioned in the Admission Notification) by hand only.
The amount of Rs.100/- may be deposited in any branch of UCO Bank through Challan
(available in university website)
Off-line version of Application Form will not be accepted by post or courier.

As per Govt. Order No. 229(14)-Edn(U)/IU-83/12 dated 19th February, 2013 , 60% seats of
the PG and other courses for the academic year 2013-14 will be reserved exclusively for
the students of V.U and the students will be admitted on the basis of marks secured in the
Honours subject and 40% of the seats in each PG department would be opened up for open
competition (Entrance Test )for the students of other universities / Colleges.

 The candidates of V.U. may appear at the Entrance Test for 40% seats. Selection will be
made strictly on the marks obtained in the Entrance Test. The detailed programme of the
Entrance Test will be notified later on.
The minimum marks for appearing at Entrance Test for 40% seats are as follows :
(i) Arts and Commerce 45% Marks in Hons.(for Gen. candidates)
40% Marks in Hons.(for SC/ST/PH candidates)
(ii) Science 50% Marks in Hons.(for Gen candidates)
45 % Marks in Hons.(for SC/ST/PWD candidates)
(iii) For Bachelor of Library and information Science-
(in case of Masters Degree) - 45% Marks in PG level.(for Gen. candidates)
- 40% Marks in PG level (for SC/ST/PWD candidates)
- 45% Marks in Hons.(for Gen. candidates)
- 40% Marks in Hons.(for SC/ST/PWD candidates)

Questions will be MCQ pattern; Full Marks 50; Total No. of questions 50(No
alternative) ; Time One and half hour
The date of Entrance Test will be notified later on.
Date(s) of publication of Merit Lists, Entrance Test, admission (from the Merit List
through counselling) and commencement of classes will be notified later on.

The candidates who want to get admitted in the PG & other Courses running in the
colleges/institutions affiliated to Vidyasagar University are requested to fill up forms in
the concerned colleges separately. The concerned colleges/institutions will issue
Admission Forms for admission. No Admission Forms will be received in our university
for admission to PG & other courses running in the affiliated colleges/institutions.

Important Point. : Ragging in all its forms in Vidyasagar University is strictly prohibited as per
the order of the Supreme Court of India.
