FIFTH ENGRAVING BIENNALE OF

SAINT-MAUR 2011
Urban scenery

The fth Engraving Biennale is organized by

the local authority of Saint-Maur-des-Fosss
and takes place from October 8 to Decem-
ber 4, 2011 at the Muse de Saint-Maur,
Villa Mdicis.
Its aim is to encourage contemporary en-
graving.
Article I

Directions to the Museum :
By RER (Regional Express Train) Take the A2 Line. Follow the direction Boissy-Saint-L-
ger and get off at La Varenne/Chennevires.
By Car - Motorway A4, exit Saint-Maur.
By Bus - BUS 111/112, get off at La Varenne-Chennevires RER.
Exhibition rooms are open to the public during the Engraving Biennale, Tuesday
thru Saturday, from 10 am to noon and from 2 pm to 6 pm, and on Sundays from 11 am
to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm (free entrance).

A - Techniques and Theme

Article II participants should submit original engravings (black and white or
colour engravings) : copper-print engraving (line-engraving, dry-point, mezzotint, etching,
aquatint, soft ground, ...), black line method (xylography, on linoleum, ...), lithography,
serigraphy, carborundum and all traditional techniques of engraving, except any comput-
erized work.
Article III Each work of art submitted shall illustrate the theme : Urban scen-
ery.
Article IV Each work of art submitted must have been created within the last
two years (no earlier than January 2009).

We invite you to the 7th International Triennial of Graphic Art - Bitola 2012.

1. We ask you to send us 2 photographs of the graphic works that you would like to par-
ticipate with in the Triennial, deadline 1st of April 2012,
2. The photographs should be in TIF format with maximum quality and 300dpi,
3. The two photographs as well as the text with your data: name, last name, post ad-
dress title of the works that you had photographed, their technique, send in electronic version
to our e-mail address trienale2009@gmail.com or via mail recorded on a CD or a photo paper
to our address:

4. Please maintain the technical quality of the photos as well as your precise personal in-

of the catalog that is going to be sent to you, at your address, free of charge.
5. You have a right to send us two photos (photos of two of your graphic works, made in
any technique, including monotype)
6. NOTE: Until the 1st of April 2012, please send us ONLY the photos of your works with
your basic information. Until this date do not send us your graphic works, because of our or-
ganizational plan we wont be able to receive them, and so they will be again returned to your
address.
7. The 7th International Triennial of Graphic Art - Bitola, will have the theme of Oceans
and stars constellation or life in the mirror.
8. Your participation in this manifestation is free of charge, and during July and August,
we will inform you for the participation and the shipment of your works for the exhibit that will
take place at the end of September, and up until this date you will be sent a catalogue of the
7th Triennial.
9. The international jury will assign the following awards: GRAND PRIX, three equal
awards as well as the 7 honorable diplomas.
10. If you have decided to send us by mail the photos of your work, you have a possibil-
ity according to your wish, eventually to send us your miniature graphics, that we are going
to include in the Gallery of miniatures which is a separate of main triennial manifestation,
and together with your personal information we will reproduce them in the catalogue of the
triennial in the department for the Gallery of miniature graphics, the tradition that until today
irreproachably functions and attracts more and more attention for already four triennials.
