Assessment Methods

As a student I was assessed in all the four types of assessment. In school selected response

was sadly the priority for most of my teachers because they felt the need to prepare us for

the joke that the national proficiency exam (ICFES) is. In the major there were more variety

of assessment methods which were not always addressed properly.

As a teacher, I think I abuse of personal communication method, because I find more

relevant what I can directly perceive in my students. I prefer this method because I find on

it a way to improve the teaching process via reorienting the contents and strategies of my

classes.

I believe teachers should really assess their own performance. If we do not question what

we do, and if we do not change what we are doing wrong we will enter in an endless cycle

of committing the same mistakes and we will never improve the product we release.
