During the 20th Century, there were many events that marked the international
history. In 1904, the war between Russia and Japan begin due to the desire of
Russians to expand in Asia, and that idea of take possession of the Chinese
territory, was against Japanese plans.

On February 5, Russia had announced dominate over Manchuria and also

maintain their forces in Korea. Why Japan send a memorandum to the Russian
embassy in Tokyo, implying that the diplomat relationship has ended, what
means that in any moment the Japanese could be attacking around Korea.
Russia did not give importance to the information and trust of its high military
capability, but regardless it is one of the best around the world, the Japanese
achieve the position of win against the Russians due to the fact that the
number of soldiers is the double (Maffeo, 2004).

In 1902, German warships, Italian and British blockaded the coast of Venezuela
demanding the payment of some outstanding debts. Years later in the First
World War, German troops attacked Poland, thereby generating a second
European global conflict. Days later France and England declared a war on
Germany. Another important war during this century was the Second World
War, which began in 1939, where United States entered after the Japanese
bombed the naval base of Pearl Harbor (Scott, 2014).

From all the readings, I acquired skills to cite or make a good bibliography, also
they helped me to improve reading comprehension, critical thinking and thus
connect each reading with real life events that appear in academic articles. I
addition, in my career these readings have given me support information to
connect themes from different subjects.
