RE: Letter of Recommendation for Megan Hurlbert

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Marletta Eich. I was Megan Hurlberts University Supervisor during her 395
and 495 Practicums. Throughout that time I found Megan to be prompt, organized,
flexible, caring, courteous and extremely professional.

Lesson planning is an important aspect of the teaching experience. It indicates to me

how organized the teacher is in thought and performance. I consistently found Megans
lesson plans to be reflective, detailed and containing several effective instructional and
behavioral strategies. Megan took pride in creating integrated curriculum lessons which
included higher level questioning. All of which were carried out successfully during
actual instruction.

Megan is an effective educator. She constantly made connections with her students by
instructing and responding in a respectful nature. Discipline was carried out in a firm yet
friendly tone. Megans demeanor was one of confidence, thoughtfulness, and fairness.
Those qualities together instilled love and trust in her students. This was quite evident
during my observations.

I admire Megans ability to work very hard to make lessons fun and engaging for her
students. That hard work was evident in her organization and being prompt when
documents were due to me. Not only were the documents delivered on time, but were
of excellent quality.

Megan has a caring thoughtful disposition and is a natural educator. She is a good
listener, relaxed and confident thus making her very easy to talk to. I observed Megan
having an excellent rapport with her cooperating teachers, her students, and other
teachers in the building. Megan is a bright young woman, a team player, dedicated
educator, and well-rounded individual who would be a wonderful asset to any school
district. I highly recommend Megan Hurlbert as an educator in any capacity.

Sincerely,

Marletta Eich
