1. Power is distributed evenly in the society, since Gilead and the Rebellion are at war,
in which power is non-existent until the war concludes.
2. Power is distributed more in the favour of men than women, men holding the more
prominent power positions in society. This being due to the collapse of womens
rights.
3. An unnoticed power is distributed in greater concentrations to women this being a
result of women being able to conceive the future population.
4. Power is non existent in the Gilead regime and instead the everyone is restricted by
the rules they have to abide by.
5. Men in the book are more deserving of power than women.
