High Energy Arc Ignition
‘SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
This manual contains installation, operation and maintenance instructions as applicabletothe S12-1
High Energy Are (HEA) igrition systems manufactured by Dynamic Engineering, systems are 16
Joule at § sparks per second consisting of: Exciter, Flexible Cable, Rigid or Flexible Spark Rods,
Spark Rod Tip and Retractor. This system is designed for use in direct electrical ignition of fossil
fuels (such as: No.2 through No. 6 fuel ols) on power boilers, Other configurations of this system
are used for Gas Turbines.
Several design configurations are available based upon fuel burning equipment and purchaser
Preference, This is a general document covering a wide range of possible configurations, Contract
billof materials and drawings should be referenced for specific configurations (details) when ordering
replacement components and spare parts.
