Dear Mrs. Livsey:
How to gain people's interest in a club? I all started with a girl wanting to make a
difference in her school. She was begging people to attend and not letting everyone know
‘what the club was actually about. There was a Facebook thread trying to get suggestions
on how to make people attend and food was the answer.
This club had the ability to impact the lives of so many people not only in the community
but globally. This was not just some hashtag on Instagram or just another campaign or
club. This would make a difference and a positive one on people.
It was time for them to change the way they advertised the club, By creating better
posters that encouraged people to go or going into classrooms and giving a little
information about the club. They could post a YouTube video about the club or maybe
even call students during a meeting.
This is a time of changing interest. There are more efficient and better ways to let
students know about your club. Uses these to your advantage and show people your club
can make a differenee.
Sincerely,

Dear Mrs. Livsey
Today, should a student seek help in starting a new club, what most people will tell
them is that they need to host lots of food to secure a sizable attendance. This leads to
the idea that students attend meetings for clubs only if there is something for them to
gain, like food. The question arises, “How can we get people to come without bribing
them?"
Perhaps the answer lies within the methods of reaching the audience. It appears that
the old fashioned methods of announcements over the intercom no longer receives well
with today’s generation. Instead, if someone were to desire attention to their club, they
should make an effort to appear in particular classrooms and give a 30-second speech,
for example. With today’s informational network going almost completely digital,
perhaps one could wave their banners in the virtual halls of social media, like Facebook
and Twitter.
{tis a new playground in 2017; and in order for a new club, or an existing one, to
survive, it will have to play by the rules of the new generation.
