the power of the sorcerer is all about spell picks and being able to do horrible

things level 7 spell project image.. sicne these images are created with all yo
ur spells at the ready.
here is what spells i had great success with.. single spells are up for personal
taste adjustments and if you want to play only bg2 or start from bg1.
- Magic Missle (no debate here) - Shield (need some protection at low levels, be
tter then armor) - Identify (must have convenience spell or i go insane) - Spook
(doesnt totally suck at high levels and very needed low level cc) - Protection
from Evil (arguably you will have that from staff of the magi later, but its ext
remly helpful in vanilla)
- Melfs Acid Arrow (only viable damage option in this level) - Mirror Image (gre
at defense in all levels) - Horror (need cc at low levels, doesnt totally suck a
t high levels) - Knock (must have convenient spell) - Blur (tough choice here, n
ot great, Web, Resist Fear, Invisibilty are all equal choices)
- Skull Trap (tactically superior to fireball) - Slow (good debuff) - Haste (goo
d for buffing your own summons) - Remove Magic (debuffing without hurting yourse
lf) - Melfs Minute Meteors (mainly a way to deal with Liches etc in early SoA)
- Stoneskin (no really ?) - Greater Malison (must debuff enemy) - Spider Spawn (
first viable summon) - Improved Invisibilty (skipped on normal invis have to tak
e something like this now) - Minor Sequencer
- Animate Dead (nasty nasty skeleton warriors) - Spell Immunity (something to de
al with Liches) - Breach (dealing with enemy mages) - Lower Resistance (cant aff
ord the better versions later) - Chaos (lacking CC, Cloudkill comes as a wand so
no need to pick it)
- Chain Lightning (there was no damage at all in 4 and 5) - Death Fog (to deal w
ith enemy summons) - Protection from Magical Weapons (in Tob everythign is magic
.. including vampire fangs) - Mislead (ultimate lifesaver and decoy) - True Sigh
t (havent taken any spells that deal with illusions yet, must pick this. sadly n
o Contingency, Tenser is fun but useless)
- Mordenkainens Sword (so many immunities) - Project Image (ok this is the reaso
n why sorcs > all) - Spell Sequencer (got space here for one of those) - Finger
of Death (its all about luck, but if you dont try...) - Delayed Blast Fireball (
not great but good for setting up figth and stil better then limited wish)
- Abi Dalzims Horrid Wilting (yeah.. it hurts) - Simulacrum (alternatively Summo
n Fiend) - Spell Trigger (Triple Chainlightning) - Incendiary Cloud (i like clou
d spells would be awesome with Summon fiend, Powerword Blind is an Alternative)
- Time Stop (i bet noone else uses that) - Spellstrike (been stingy with buff re
movers gotta take that here) - Chain Contingency (So many great Combos) - Wish (
for the very last battles mightaswell combat rest)
