As one of the biggest primary health care

centre, Sempu is the main contributor in

terms of Maternal Mortality Rate and Children
Mortality Rate in Banyuwangi regency .
SAKINA (stop maternal and child death) is an
innovation based on society empowerment
using a holistic approach to tackle the
maternal and child health issues. This
program has been successful on reducing the
maternal and child mortality rate to zero
percent ( 0 % ) in two years from 20 to
20., which is the main goal of SAKINA.
SAKINA has 4 major pillar which is :
- Providing a comprehensive assistance for
mother with high risk pregnancy
- Working together with local community on
providing a transit house for pregnant
mother that live in the remote area
- Providing a specially design ambulance for
transportation and
- SAKINA framework is based on the
standard operating procedure , carefully
made to fulfill the programs goal .
