Historical Selfie

Prop 1 Peter the Great

I, Peter the Great, took this selfie on October 13th, 2016 at 10:00 P.M as
a daily reminder how accomplished and famous I became. Of course,
as a Tsar I must always hold my head high above everyone else, for I
stand in the highest ranks of all. Even within a picture, I must angle
myself within the infinite degrees to the above. My nobility highly
shines within the intricacies of my red cape, and my white neck wrap;
as my crown highly signifies my divinity above all.
Prop 2 The St. Petersburg City Flag
Along my territorial conquest, I secured access to the Black Sea,
defeated the Swedish Army, thus my amass militia power allowed me
to establish the city of St. Petersburg in 1712, on the Neva River. St.
Petersburg was deemed as Russias window to Europe. This city
allowed Russia to secure its presence in the Baltic, and in 1713,
became Russias capital. This city was where I mainly brought
westernization in, including the influences of education & technologies.
Prop 3 Boat
This remarkable fleet was mine. This resembles the catalyst that
allowed me to embark on major reforms for Russia. I invested most of
my time in shipbuilding and this allowed me to progress on in my
ambitions. I also created Russias first navy base. Known as the journey
of the Grand Embassy I went to France, Austria, England, etc. This
allowed me to from a greater basis on education such as Schools of
Medicine, Engineering, Science and Navigation and Maths to be
created in Russia.
Prop 4 Execution
Many people disliked me for being cruel & tyrannical, but that is the
reason why my reign in Russia proved to be one of the strongest. Fear
is the greatest aspect a Tsar must obtain and use for the greater good.
Any rebellions, no matter how small, can lead to mass executions. I
also used my power for entertainment. There was a time where I made
one of my guards hold down a guest so I could pour salad and vinegar
down his throat. I also had a son, but I didnt like him because he was
weak. Whenever he was 10 I always beat him and dragged him by the
hair. When I was 10 I was entrusted with many responsibilities and
trained an army, I wanted my son to live like that but I was so
disappointed I tortured and killed him for treason.
Prop 5 Archbishop Theophan Prokopovich
This man was my ally in the reform of the Russian Orthodox Church. I
was known to usher in an era where the church government
fundamentally transformed. Instead of it being governed by a patriarch
or metropolitan, the government came under the control of a
committee known as the Most Holy Governing Synod, composted of
both bishops and bureaucrats appointed by me. Theophan Prokopovich
supported me in having this single & ultimate aristocracy. The
ecclesiastical council proved more appropriate to govern the church
than a single patriarch.
Prop 6 Cigarette Case
As I introduced Western Europes influences into Russia, I wanted many
people to drink coffee and smoke. Beards were too Asian since Russia
was around Asia and the Mongols once revolved around us. and so I
shaved off my beard as well to fit into the western aspects of
masculinity. This case here represents the established business of the
smoking industry into Russia, also a sign of nobility.
Prop 7 Ivan V
What led me to take absolute power was my brother. Although I
already inherited the blood of a tsar, he was a main factor. He was my
half-brother, and we both at a very young age were proclaimed joint
tsars when I was 10 and he was 16. However later his illness took over,
he passed away at the age of 29. That marked the period of where I
was given the spotlight to become the all known supreme ruler of
Russia.
Prop 8 Sankt-Peterburgskie Vedomosti
I established the first Russian Newspaper on December 16th, 1702. The
information on there only addresses reports of my military victories
and diplomatic relations, all made by me. This also reflects on the
growing importance on my benevolent city, St.Petersburg. Most of the
issues from 1711 were printed in my Northern Capital.
