My feelings for Romeo

Dear diary, today I found the love of my life, the only thing that breaks my heart is that he

is a Montague. Why must he be a Montague? Why must he be apart of the family that my

parents absolutely despise? O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father

and refuse thy name.(2.2.32-35) I truly love him, but does he truly love me? Oh Romeo why

must you make me feel like this? Is your love for me as true as you say it is? If your love is as

true as you say, then I shall believe you and take your word. Dost thou love me? I know thou

wilt say Ay; And I will take thy word. (2.2.90) If I were to ever marry a man it would have to be

my love Romeo. Romeo is truly the love of my life; but why must I love a man who my family

hates? I shouldn't let his name get in the way of how I feel about him, after all, what does a

name have to do with the person? Tis but thy name is my enemy. Thou art thyself, though not a

Montague. Whats Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot, nor arm, nor face, nor any other part

belonging to the man. (2.2.38-41) The reason I truly love Romeo is because he is truly perfect.

He is everything I would want in a man. He is so perfect in every way that it is hard to think that

he is a Montague. I wish we could just leave our families behind and forget about our names,

because that is the only thing holding us back from being together. I know that Romeo loves me

and I know that Romeo knows I love him also. By love, that first did prompt me to inquire. He

lent me counsel, and I lent him my eyes. I am no pilot, yet, wert thou as far as that vast shore

washed with the farthest sea, I would adventure for such merchandise. (2.2.80-85) I know

Romeo would do anything to be with me, he would even change his name for me. If that is really

all it takes for us to be together, then so be it.
