Description of how to implement in the class: Students will learn about Benjamin Franklin and
important events in his life. Then Students will create their own timelines that mark important
events in Benjamin Franklins life using the information they have learned from the lesson. Students
will then share their timelines with the class describing why they chose to highlight certain parts of
Benjamin Franklins life as important.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): This lesson reaches a LoTi level 4. Students engage in
higher level thinking by taking what they have learned and applying it by creating their own time
lines of Benjamin Franklins life. The students assume the role of the teacher while they are sharing
and describing their timelines. Students will have chosen different events to highlight therefore
student learning can take multiple different paths with this lesson.
Description of the sample BBPT file provided *: This will be a timeline of important events
throughout Benjamin Franklins life. Students will individually decide which events are worthy of
being put into their timelines. Students will have the opportunity to print their own personal times
lines to keep as a reference and study guide.
