SECOND COMPOSITION GUIDELINES

Write an e-mail addressed to a friend who wants to learn English. Give him tips that he
can follow in order to learn this language successfully. You can base the tips on
personal experiences. Keep in mind that your friend has never studied any foreign
language before.

The composition must be developed within 15-20 lines.

The writing assignment should follow the suggested division:

First Paragraph / Introduction Talk about stereotypes. Are Brazilians good at

learning languages? Say a few words about your reasons to learn English, including the

things youre good and bad at. Do you think you were successful at learning English?

Second Paragraph Give and explain the tips. Why do you consider them important?

Is there anything you think your friend should not do? Why?

Third Paragraph / Closure State how relevant English is in your life and how those

tips helped you in your learning process.

All compositions must be turned in, PRINTED, until February 16th .
