The cause of the moon phases is the moon revolving around

Earth. The moon moves at a 27.3 day pace as it orbits around the
Earth. It is seen from space as half lit and half dark, but on earth it is
seen in moon phases. We see the same side of the moon all the time.
The effect of this is the illuminated moon we see at night.
The moon moves at a 27.3-day orbit around earth. At night we
see the moon phases each night we either see more of the moon or
less of the moon. There are 8 moon phases, New Moon, Waxing
Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous,
Last Quarter, and Waning Crescent. Each moon phase lasts about 3
days. As you can see these are the effects of the moon moving at a
27.3-day pace.
The moon can be seen as half illuminated from space or seen in
moon phases from Earth. In space an alien as half illuminated and half
dark can see the moon. On Earth we see it as moon phases. It appears
to be getting larger and smaller from Earth. These are ways we can see
the moon half illuminated or the moon phases.
We see the same side of the moon all the time. The moon moves
at the same rotation and revolution speed always. The side we dont
see at night is referred to as the dark side of the moon. We can see the
same side of the moon all around the Earth no matter where we are.
These are the reasons we see the same side of the moon always.
To sum this all up these are all the reasons we see the moon as
we do at night. As a review the moon moves at the same pace all the
time. If we were an alien, we would see the moon as half illuminated
and as Earthlings we see the moon in phases. We also see the same
side of the moon at all hours of day and night. These are what causes
the moon phases as the moon revolves around Earth.
