Information Regarding RTA Act 2005 to The Department of Higher Education New Delhi Subject: Seeking Information Regarding details of Contingency Grant of MHRD TEQUP-II Ph.D. Students” Respected Sir/Madam 1am Pursuing Ph.D. under TEQUP-II MHRD trom Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology Sultanpur U.P. Govt. Engg. Collage), As per SPFU TEQIP-II Ordinance, the contingency grant is 30,000 per year. 1am seeking miormation for List of item of contingency and others because there 15 ambiguity in 1 EQIP Il ORDINANCE regarding to contingency stems, as mentioned below: Points 1) List of stem 1m Contingency Grant (Which type of item can be purchased under contingency TEQIP IL (lor example Laptop battery, Printer, Laptop adopter, Extended RAM in Laptop or laptop repairing, Bag, laptop. ete.) 2) TA/DA bill related information (for example as student entitled for 3% AC or 24 AC and DA. allowed or not). 3) How many Conference / Short-Term Training in IIT, NIT and in other Technical Institution can attend? 4) In one year how many International / National Journal’s fee can be reimbursed through ‘Contingency Grant in one year. There are discrepancies regarding to above mentioned pomnts in our mstitution due to which we are unable to get contingency amount for our stationary and other expenditures even after the submission of related invoices. This situation mainly arises because of the unavailability of appropriate guidelimes regarding this issue. Due to this reason I am seeking information with guidelines for above mentioned Four Points for contingency grant of TEQUP-II Students, Project Strategy of TEQIP I The Project will be implemented mn pursuance of the National Policy on Education (NPE-1986 revised m 1992) through the Mistry of Human Resource Development (MHD) of the Government of India as a “Centrally Sponsored Scheme” with matching contribution from the State Governments and Union Territories (UTS). The Project cost will be shared by MHRD and States and private unaided institutions. The funding pattern and cost-sharing details are given in Table-13. Project cost in the funded and aided institutions for all sub-components will be shared between the Central Government and State governments in the ratio of 75:25 by all States except the Special Category States for which the ratio will be 90:10.
