Who is the hardest hit by xenophobia?

Xenophobia refers to fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners. The


fear of losing identity and desire to eliminate their presence to secure
a presumed purity often gave rise to discriminatory attitudes and
behavior towards foreigners.

The main origins of these offenses against this race are believes that
black people are inferior to the white people, that they are not allowed
to live as freely as them; and especially because of their stereotypes
concerning them and their manners. Furthermore, this is not the only
community to be hit so much by these crimes in the United States.

Manifestations of xenophobia occur on a day-to-day basis and more


often than acknowledged. For offenders, it is sufficient to perceive
someone as having certain characteristics to trigger a xenophobic act.
Migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, indigenous peoples, persons
belonging to national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities also
black people are among the hardest hit by xenophobic acts. People
with different sexual orientation or gender identities are also victims of
hate crimes. Abuse of persons with disabilities is also widely
unaddressed. Women and children who belong to these groups are
often at greater risk and suffer from multiple forms of discrimination.

To sum up, there is some possible steps can be policy of equality at


workplace. Promote respect for foreigners and refugees in schools,
government institutions, hospitals, companies and at public places.
The intercultural programs can also be organized to discover new
cultures and meet people of different country to better understand
their values and beliefs.
