Creating Journal Entries

Go to Financials / Journals / Journal Entry

Click on New
Define Financial Site
Document Type: typically GEN for manual journal entries
Number: X3 will generate this ID number
Date: determines financial period the activity will appear in.
Journal: typically GEN for manual journal entries
Category: typically Actual exception would be Template for recurring journal entry setup
Status: Temporary, journal entries are set to Final as part of the month end close
Reference: description field
Click Create when line items are completed

Define debit/credit
Define GL accounts here amounts here
