1.3 OBJECTIVE OF INDUSTRIAL

This is an industrial training report that describes and elaborates what I, Muhammad
Iqbal , third year student of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Program, have been placed at
Micro Procision Machining SDN BHD (MPM), The industrial training program is a 7 credit
hour subject that is compulsory for all students to undertake in order to graduate. The program
itself gives student the opportunity to associate themselves with the host company, gaining
much sought working experience and working environment as technician and an engineer. My
training is scheduled started on 5 December 2016 till 11 January 2016. Throughout these 14
weeks period, the student had to face the harsh reality of working in a industry environment.
This report contains a brief introduction of the host company. Besides that, this report also
gives overall task that have been given to me during my industrial training. Furthermore, I
was given a responsibility to handle the tasks. In the end of the training period, I also share
my training experience such as managed to gained precious knowledge and experience that
will certainly be of help in the near future. With that said, the training program has managed
to achieve its goal. This report ends with some suggestions and recommendations to UITM
and the host company for improvement of the training program.
