Grains are grass seeds used for human
food. What other kinds of seeds do
humans use for food?
Humans consume nuts, beans, peas, coffee,
pumpkin, poppy, pepper, and small seeds in
fruits such as tomato, or kiwi.

How do environments change when
humans make rice paddies?
The land that was dry, is dammed to make
aquatic (water) environments.

How do muskrats change their
environments, and what are some of the
results?
Muskrats tunnel into paddy walls, which
weaken them. When the walls break, the
water flows out and the aquatic environment
changes back into a terrestrial one and the
muskrats must find a new home.
