see the introduction of a new, integrated
Technical website pharmacopoeia.com that will provide
a single place to access the BP online and
specifications to order British Pharmacopoeia Chemical
Reference Substances. The site will replace
PUBLICATION DATE: pharmacopoeia.co.uk and will feature more
24 August 2015 information and a new look with improved
functionality and accessibility.
ISBN: This edition also sees the introduction of a
9780113230006 download format for use offline. This replaces
the USB, and has the benefit of being updated three times per year to
FORMATS: harmonise with the European Pharmacopoeia.
Hardback, download, Updated annually, the BP is the only comprehensive collection of authoritative
online official standards for UK pharmaceutical substances and medicinal products.

HARDBACK SIZE: The BP 2016 includes almost 4,000 monographs which are legally enforced by
the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, and becomes legally effective on
6 volumes in slipcase
1 January 2016. Where a pharmacopoeial monograph exists, medicinal products
248w x 368h x 239d mm sold or supplied in the UK must comply with the relevant monograph. All
approx monographs and requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia are also
reproduced in the BP.
