Use
You create the scope of check for the product availability check.
Prerequisites
If you want to take into account non-SAP categories in the scope of check, you must have already
created these.
Procedure
1. You maintain a field catalog in Customizing for the Advanced Planner and Optimizer by
choosing Global ATP Product Availability Check Maintain Check Control.
2. Select an entry from the check control and choose the ATP Check Control: Scope of
Check frame.
4. Using the input help (F4), choose the categories that you want to assign to an ATP group
and a business event.
5. Choose Save.

Procedure
1. You maintain an ATP group in Customizing for the Advanced Planner and
Optimizer via Global ATP Product Availability Check Maintain ATP Group.
4. Choose the relevant entry in the Cumulation field, if you want to carry out a shortage check.
In order that the shortage check gives consistent results, Availability check with
cumulated, confirmed quantities must be activated in R/3 in the checking group. In R/3
Customizing for Sales and Distribution select Basic Functions Availability Check and
Transfer of Requirements Availability Check Availability Check with ATP Logic or
Against Planning Define Checking Groups.
5. Choose the relevant entry in the Reaction field (reaction to shortfall), if you want the
system to display a message if a shortage exists when processing sales orders.
You can only use the indicator when cumulating confirmed quantities or requirement
quantities.
7. Choose Save.
