COMMENTS: (strengths, areas for growth, next steps):

Caitlin completed a very successful teacher candidate placement session in our intermediate division at
Kingsway Park Elementary. She was well-organized in planning units and implementing her lessons in
language, math, and visual arts. She developed meaningful lessons based on the required expectations and
included activities to maintain a level of interest.

Caitlin listened to constructive supervisory comments and applied them into her teaching. She responded
knowledgeably to student questions and expressed her ideas clearly, fluently and was confident in
maintaining a positive learning environment for students. She demonstrated a professional attitude with both
students and staff.

Caitlin gained practical experience developing assessment and evaluation strategies at the intermediate
level. She effectively created rubrics, monitored student progress and responded with regular and specific
feedback to students and used constructive criticism regarding work that was below expected standards.

She was consistent and maintained classroom routines. She established classroom rules which were
enforced when the need arose. Her classroom management strategies, as well as her assessment practices
will continue to develop as she gains continued teaching experience.

She clearly demonstrated by the interaction she had with students that teaching is a passion to her. It has
been a pleasure to have had Caitlin as a teacher candidate in my classroom. Her excellent organization
skills, initiative and energy enabled her to have much success. Caitlin deservedly receives my
recommendation for future teaching positions.
