Comments:

Dear Jiawei Liu,

Congratulations on the successful completion of your philosophy of teaching statement. You have a simple and clear thesis and I am glad you connected to social
work in your introduction- as it gives background into your approach towards teaching and learning.

Nice integration of evidence to explain concepts: motivation, authentic materials, i + 1 input hypothesis, cooperative learning, and affective filter. Good description
of how you will build rapport with students and connect it to social work.

There was one section, that was slightly confusing. You commented on teaching to students previous knowledge as time wasting when you next write that it
influences them? This seems contradictory.

One area for improvement would be to provide more specific teaching examples. You do this at times based on observations- are there any microteaching events
that could have been integrated?

Overall very strong paper.

Very best wishes on your future teaching!
