As a senior looking back at my grades from my freshman year to my junior year, Ive never

thought I would start off my first year of high school with unsatisfying grades. After

receiving my report card during the spring semester of my freshman year, I knew I had to

improve myself. By the start of my sophomore year, I took advantage of taking honors

classes, doubting that I was able to handle it, but took a risk so I can have the opportunity to

strengthen my education and boost up my GPA since it was surprisingly low due to the grades

Ive received from my freshman year. At first, I doubted myself and thought I couldnt do it

since I had the inability to get outstanding grades during my freshman year. Throughout the

rest of my years in high school, I have received a few Bs and mostly As for every first

semester, and ended the year strongly with straight As. I took advantage of honors and AP

classes, and went beyond what was expected from myself. I also took the opportunity to take

college classes that would benefit myself as well as my education. I allowed myself to take

advantage of every possible educational opportunity I had open for myself.
