Weekly Reflections

1. January 11, 2017 - Throughout the week we had to work on our reading goals in

which we had to answer four questions. Also took notes on legal definitions during class

and last we started reading and annotating two articles, and if we didnt finish it was

homework.
2. January 18, 2017 - Throughout the week we reviewed the articles and discussed

the court cases brought up in the articles. We also had activities in which we had to work

in our groups. We also began our first learning log.

3. January 25, 2017 - Throughout this week we began our first quick write. We also

worked in groups to answer questions about two of the articles we were reading. Then we

discussed the questions in class as a group. Also we began preparing for the socratic

seminar.
4. January 30, 2017 - Throughout this week we just kept preparing for the socratic

seminar. We eventually began our socratic seminar.

5. February 10, 2017 - We began to start our essay on Juvenile justice where we

wrote what we thought, and come up with a solution for it. Also had some independent

reading time throughout the week.

6. February 15, 2017 - Throughout the week we began by reading articles on gender,

language, and culture. We also annotated them, and discussed them during class as a

group. We also had some independent reading time, and then continued to discuss the

articles.
7. February 24, 2017 - As we discussed we differentiated the differences between

gender and sex. Along with that we also began an assignment in which we had to create a

conversation between authors, where we had to compare their points of view.

8. March 3, 2017 - We were assigned an assignment in which we had to write a three

page essay about any social problem going on today. It had to include a type of personal

experience. We also had independent reading time, and had time to work on our essay.
