The thermal principle operates by monitoring the cooling effect of a gas stream as t passes over a healed sensor. Gas flowing tough he sensing section passes over two sensors one of whichis used conventionally a a temperature sensor, whist the olor is Used 38 3 heater. The temperature sensor monitors the actual process values whilst the heater Is maintained at 2 constant diferent temperature above this by varying the power consumed by the sensor The greater the gas velociy, the greater the cooling eflct and power required to maintain the diferent temperature. The measured heater power is therefore a measure ofthe gas mass flow te ‘The format of gas velecy and power is shown as bolow KQ/ary-” Ps o ‘Where: PE is specific gravity of medium Vis wioaty Ks balance coefcent Qis heater power Tis diferenial temperature “The medium temperature range of meters 40°C ~220°C In the format (1), the specifi gravity of medium is relate tothe density 101.325+P 273.15 + 20 101.325 273.15+T \where:Py_ is the medium density in working condition ¢kg/m*) Ps the medium dersity in standard condition, 101.254Pa and 200 ckgim*) Pis the pressure in working condition (kPa) Tis the temperature in working concition (°C) P= ox 2 Page 4 of 34 In the formats (1) and (2), there is @ certain functional relationship between the velocty ‘and pressure in working condition, medium density, the temperature in working condition, ‘Due to the sensor temperature is always 30°C higher than the medium temperature (environment temperature), and the meter adopts method of constant dliferential, temperature, theretore the meter donot need to do temperature and pressure compensation in principle, Page 5 of 34 Part 2 Specifications Features "2 Measuring the mass flow or volume flow of gas "© Do not need todo temperature and pressure compensation in principle with accurate measurement and easy operation "© Wise range: 0.5Niris~ TOON for gas.
