Dear Mrs. Jankowski,

For my Senior Service Learning Project I have chosen to work with the Childrens
Museum of Evansville. I will help kids of all ages learn through playing with the
exhibits at cMoe. Exhibits here help kids understand how water works, movies and
plays are created, learn the colors, and learn about good foods. My personal
connection to cMoe would be that I loved coming to this museum as a kid.
My mentor is be Ashley McReynolds, she is the director of marketing at cMoe.
Ashley has been at cmoe for about 6 years now. She is very knowledgeable about
the company itself. When I first met her, she seemed very cheerful and bubbly. I am
very excited to work with her, as well. I give her credit for how well she does her
job, considering she has a whole lot on her plate between being the director of
marketing and overseeing the volunteers.
My 25 hours will be spent helping kids, picking up, working with pop-up events,
helping with birthday parties, and cleaning up the exhibits. I currently do not know
what my volunteer schedule will be. I am hoping to get my 25 hours completed on
the days i get out of school early and on the days I do no work.
I hope to get an experience out of volunteering for an organization I know and enjoy.
It was fun going there as a visitor, and I hope it could be fun as a volunteer there. I
hope to see you there when the time has come to work in the Childrens museum of
Evansville.
