Students are receiving a ziplock bag with silly putty and instructions to make silly putty. They
will add food coloring of their choice to the putty as they learn about reactions with this fun
science experiment.
Students will be separated into groups of 3. They will receive one cause and each have to write
an effect of that cause. (Example: I studied for my test. I passed the test.) There will be
markers set up in the middle of the table for the students to decorate their effect, and then all of
the causes and effects will be stapled together to form a cause and effect chain.
Students will write an acrostic poem using their names and adjectives to describe them!
A ziplock bag with fake money in it will be placed at each seat. Different objects such as pencils,
erasers, and glow sticks will be set up in the middle of the table. The students will count their
money to then purchase one or two of the objects.
Each student will have a piece of paper to make their own water cycle. Markers will be set up in
the middle of the table as well as cotton balls to form the clouds. Students will follow an
example to illustrate the water cycle.
