It is with great pleasure I write this letter in support of Ms. Sandra Heskett. I have had the opportunity to
serve as Sandras assistant prinicpal during the fall of 2016 to present at Britton Elementary School.
Sandra first came to Britton as a veteran teacher in Texas and Oklahoma. She connected so well with the
students.

Sandra has provided essential group instruction for 2nd grade self-contained and served as team lead
teacher. Throughout her tenure at Britton, Sandra truly worked diligently and effortlessly as a teacher. An
excellent planner, her daily lesson plans were extremely detailed and well researched. Our students
couldnt wait to come into classes to read her fact of the day and ask, What are we doing today. She
is very familiar with the Oklahoma Academic Standards and TEKS and embeds the standards into
lessons and assessment..

The most impressive aspect of Sandra teaching is her demeanor with students. Sandra is able to present
information on a broad range of topics while projecting a composed presence, a great sense of humor, and
maintaining a positive classroom environment. It is not easy for a teacher to transition to another school,
but Sandra adjusted well and is a real asset for any school.

On a personal note, I thoroughly enjoyed having Sandra on our team. Her demeanor made many days
easier for me and especially our students! I will look back on Sandras time at our school with much
admiration and gratitude as she was always willing to jump into any situation and help out. Sandra is a
dedicated teacher who truly cares about her craft and students. She presents herself as veteran teacher
despite her youth! Any school looking to add an exceptional teacher to their school would do well to take
a closer look at Sandra Heskett.
