Dear President Trump,

I shall never forget,

I shall never forget these four years you put America through
Once your presidency is over and done with,
I shall never forget the amount of executive orders youve signed
Or the families that were broken apart because of these orders,
But likewise, I urge you to never forget the following:

Peoples choices involve costs, and

Peoples choices have consequences that lie in the future.

You see Mr. Trump, there are many things that you neglect when you make your choices,
You see Mr. Trump, your choices involve costs,
Choices always have an outcome, the very definition of a cost, and there is always a tradeoff,
For example, your recent immigration ban.
The costs of such included the erosion of families,
The perpetuation of hate for you,
And the disunification of the American people.
So the next time you choose to sign off on something like an immigration ban,
That of which completely goes against the morals and beliefs of democracy,
Try and evaluate the costs of the choices you make,
Because your fellow American,
Immigrant, permanent resident, and citizen will highly appreciate it.

You see Mr. Trump, there are many things that you neglect when you make your choices,
You see Mr. Trump, your choices have consequences that lie within the future
Many people try to make choices that benefit them in the future, and you do,
But youre the president;
Therefore, you must make choices that benefit Americas future, not just yours!
You see, consequences are different from choices because choices are just the options you have,
But a consequence is the effect of the option you choose to take.
So lets return to the immigration ban.
You chose to keep immigrants out,
The costs included breaking families apart, and disuniting Americans,
The future consequences of this include a possible alliance with the banned countries.
They could all ban together and be like hey, lets get rid of America since they want to
Get rid of us
And then wed be doomed.

So please, I know it may be hard to do,

But its not much to ask:
Peoples choices involve costs, and
Peoples choices have consequences that lie in the future.
NEVER SHALL YOU FORGET THESE THINGS.
