Cyber space is a very wide term and includes computers, networks, software, data storage
devices (such as hard disks, USB disks etc), the Internet, websites, emails and even electronic
devices such as cell phones, ATM machines etc.
Violation of these rules could lead to government action such as imprisonment or fine or an
order to pay compensation.

Money is the most common motive behind all crime. The same is also true for cyber crime.
Globally it is being observed that more and more cyber crimes are being committed for financial
motives rather than for “revenge” or for “fun”.
With the tremendous increase in the use of internet and mobile banking, online share
trading, dematerialization of shares and securities, this trend is likely to increase unabated.
