Whittier California
It is my pleasure to recommend Arut Kadyan for the position of teacher. I have worked with Arut a few years
ago as his master teacher. Under my supervision, Arut has taught World Civilizations and U.S. History. As a
teacher of twenty years, I believe Arut possesses the skills necessary to be a positive asset to any campus.
Arut is a well-trained teacher and is knowledgeable of the California State Standards for Social Science. He
begins each lesson by clearly defining the learning objective for the students. His lessons are well-prepared,
organized, logical, and content relevant. To help all students learn, Arut implements a variety of teaching
strategies, such as group presentations, debates, discussions, activities and PowerPoint presentations in order to
assist all students with learning. Arut uses bell-to-bell instruction and checks for understanding in every lesson.
Arut provides a safe and controlled classroom environment where students behave appropriately and are
uninhibited to learn. He has built a positive rapport with students and they respect him. Arut is genuine and
cares about the well-being of his students. With the positive and encouraging environment he creates, Arut
motivates even the most challenging students. Unlike many new teachers, Arut provides a healthy balance of
firmness and friendliness and has the capability to deescalate behavioral problems and to motivate all students.
Not only has Arut developed a strong rapport with students, he has also been an asset to the faculty at Whittier
High School. Arut is recognized by staff members as being professional, courteous and hard-working. He has
made positive contributions to the social studies department by helping analyze results of common assessments
to re-teach content students were not successful in learning.
The work Arut has completed at Whittier High School lay a solid foundation for him to be a successful teacher.
It is my honor to recommend Arut Kadyan for the position of teacher. I am confident he will be an outstanding
addition to your staff. Please feel free to contact me if you need additional information.
Sincerely,
