Roman Religion
- The Roman gods were originated from the greek gods.
- Some Roman gods include: Jupiter, Juno, Mars, Neptune, Apollo, Mercury,
and Venus
- Jupiter was based off of the famous Greek god, Zeus
- He is the god of thunder and lightning
- He was the Patron God of Rome.
Juno
Juno was the equivalent of the Greek goddess Hera.
Juno was Jupiter's wife and queen of the gods.
Juno was considered the protector of Rome.
Roman Republic Government
-The Roman Republic Government has three branches:
legislative, executive, and judicial
- The legislative branch had a senate of 300 members
- The executive branch had two consuls
- The judicial branch had eight judges
- Patricians in Rome were in the upper class, and were
treated like royalty
- Plebeians in Rome were in the middle-to-low class, and
werent treated as well
- The Roman Republic Government began when Romans
overthrew their Etruscan conquerors, therefore building
the Roman Empire

Items Covered In Ash
Many things were recovered from Pompeii. These things consist as
artwork, food, drinks, rugs, everyday furniture, pottery, and other household
items.
What Was the Town of Pompeii Famous For?
Besides being a town covered in ash, it was famous for more things. When
the town of Pompeii was still a town not in ash, it used to be a tourist attraction
(and still is).
What Happened When Pompeii Erupted?
When Pompeii erupted, everything stayed as it was on the day Pompeii
erupted. Not one thing in Pompeii wasnt ruined, everything was like a statue.
This is like a living statue except you are in this state forever and you die
instantly.
What type of Money Did Archaeologists Find In The Remains of Pompeii?

There were coins found in the streets of the town. They were gold and silver
and looked like a Roman version of our American coins.
Were There Types of Pottery Found in Pompeii?
There were types of pottery found in the remains of Pompeii. There was most
likely a little shop where pottery was sold and made.
