Denson Academic Scholarship ANNOUNCEMENT The Southwest Alabama Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. is proud to announce the acceptance of applications for one of our Dr. Jacquelyn L. Denson Academic Scholarships. This scholarship is available to any high school senior who will be attending an accredited college or university for the scholastic year 2017-2018. Initial requirements for consideration include the following: 1 Scholastic average of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale or 3.0 on 5.0 scale 2, Commendable participation in school and community activities. Ki Exhibition of good moral character. 4. Financial need. Acceptance Requirements: 1, Fall semester schedule postmarked by September 2, 2017. 2. Spring semester schedule postmarked by January 9, 2018. 3. AND Acceptance letter must include your student ID number. Application Packets must include: ___Completed scholarship application. Photocopies are acceptable. __A sealed copy of your official transcript. Include ACT Score. ___Two (2) letters of recommendation -one of which should come from a teacher. ___Arrésume outlining your activities and affiliations. (Be sure résumé lists community service, leadership, clubs and organizations, and church activites.) A typed one-page essay detailing why you should receive a scholarship and include your future goals. Applications will not be considered without the above listed information.
