Goat Grant Guidelines:

~ One goat kid will be awarded for the 2017 summer
~ Recipient will be notified on or before June 1st 2017
~ Goat being donated will be a wether (market animal)
~ Ownership along with the Animal Care and Lease forms must be turned into the Ransom County
Extension Service office by June 10th
~ Must be a 4-H or FFA member in Ransom County
~ Must be 15 or under in age Age will follow your age in 4-H Cloverbuds are eligible
~ It will be required that the goat kid be shown at the Ransom County Fair
~ Goat will be housed at applicant's residence
~ Goat Grant applicant is responsible for all feed costs, vet bills if any arise, transportation, entry fees
~ JK Angus(Jamie & Kaitlin) will support the grant recipient with two farm visits during the summer
months. During these visits we will answer any questions that have arrived or provide any help you
might need with your goat project. We will check on the health and well being of the kid. JK Angus
has the right to take back the kid if health and well being are in question.
~ All Ransom County Fair as well as other livestock show premiums will go to the grant recipient
~ Our role as a producer will be to mentor and support the individual through the process and to
prepare the kid to show at the Ransom County Fair
