will abide by the Constitution, By-Laws and Code of Ethics of the Glooscap Kennel Club and the
Canadian Kennel Club. I understand that I will not have voting privileges until I have been a GKC
member for one year. Further, I will hold harmless the Glooscap Kennel Club and all persons
associated from any costs of liability and expense for any injury or damage caused by dogs or
persons at events held or staged by the Glooscap Kennel Club.

 Membership By-Laws

1. Any person 17 years of age or over shall be eligible for membership, but will have no
voting privileges for the first year as a member of the Club.

2. Any person under the age of 17 years shall be eligible for a junior membership. Such
membership shall not carry voting privileges nor eligibility to hold office.

3. Categories of membership shall be: (a) individual, (b) family, (c) junior, and (d) honorary. A
person holding and honorary membership shall not take part in the management of the
Clubs affairs but shall be a person who has done outstanding service for the Club over a
long period of time. Such person may be nominated for an honorary membership at the
Clubs annual meeting; such a nomination must be made and seconded by voting
members of the Club. A person holding a junior membership does not have voting
privileges.

4. The membership year shall be from January first (1 st) to December thirty-first (31st). Dues
paid on or after October first (1st) of each year will be considered paid for the Clubs
following fiscal year (which begins on January first (1 st) as well. Dues are set out in
Schedule A which is attached to, and forms part of, these By-Laws.

5. A person wishing to join the Club shall complete and approved application form. The
applicant shall agree, in writing, to abide by the rules of both the Canadian Kennel Club
and this Club. His or her application shall be made known to the membership. The
application will then be considered and voted on by the voting members. The approved
application form is as set out in Schedule B which is attached to, and forms part of these
By-Laws.

6. Upon acceptance into the Club, the new member shall submit dues for the current year.
