Lauren was very punctual arriving each morning at least one-half an hour early. She taught 13 students of varying abllties in grades K through 5 with the assistance of 3 paraprofessionals, Lauren was responsible for teaching morning meeting, math, reading, language arts and science/social studies. From day one Lauren began helping out in the classroom with a confident demeanor. Ms. Best planned and implemented the daily lessons, homework and quizzes. Lauren successfully demonstrated her awareness of different learning styles and adequately adjusted assignments to meet the varied needs of students. Her Units were thoroughly prepared and implemented. She was successful in monitoring and adjusting to various schedule changes in order to complete the lessons during her time of teaching. Lauren was challenged to run a smooth classroom with interruptions due to unexpected schedule changes, Paraprofessional absences, student therapy sessions and challenging student behaviors, She remained calm and adjusted the lessons as needed to continue to deliver quality educational material. During Lauren‘s lessons she offered many hands on experiences to keep the students engaged. Ms. Best possessed a positive and enthusiastic personality. She had a great rapport with the students she worked with. She was well dressed, articulate, and always ready with a smile and a kind word. | found that other team members accepted her as a strong working member of our team and she had a positive working relationship with each one of them, as well as with other staff members. am confident that Ms. Best will be an asset to any staff that she works with.
