Mrs. Buske has been a teacher in our district for thirteen years. During her tenure at our school Mrs. Buske has served as a teacher on our third grade team. It is an honor that I write this letter of recommendation for her. Mrs. Buske has made teaching her life’s work. Her passion and enduring attitude towards all students are a joy to observe on a daily basis. While observing her classroom it is apparent that Mrs. Buske wants all of her students to succeed and will take whatever steps necessary to see her students meet their goals. On a weekly basis, Mrs. Buske finds several opportunities to discuss student growth or areas of concern with her team and administration. If there are any supports she needs from peers or updates for specialists she ensures all are aware. While Mrs. Buske enjoys teaching all subjects I see many strengths in her math & language arts instruction. Mrs. Buske enjoys taking students who struggle with math concepts and matching up learning styles to meet their needs. It is not unusual to see visuals, kinesthetic, and various mnemonics to support concepts. ‘This teaching style comes naturally to Mrs. Buske and every year we see great growth amongst her students. Her incorporation of technology has always been an asset. She has been a leader in classroom technology piloting not only SMART board implementation but also Mimio devices. Language arts lessons are always more diverse because of this technology implementation by Mrs. Buske. Mrs. Buske’s instruction and interactions with our students are of utmost importance. It is also important to note that she adds to our building’s culture in many other ways. She is a consistent presence that supports her teammates and others. This school year she helped our building create a new schedule to support diverse learners and co-teaching implementation. Every year she can be counted on to present instruction at staff meetings and assist in out-of-school social obligations. Mrs. Buske understands that teaching and learning also occur outside of the classroom.
