X-ray view _ _ _ _ _ _ Begin with a bird base (upside-down).
1. Rabbit ear both points (the
top layer of the top points and the thick bottom point).
2. Pull out hidden layer...
... like this. Repeat venid.
3. Squash fold. Repeat behind.
4. This is similar to a petal fold, but a gap is left in the middle. Repeat behind.
5. Mountain fold (app. 1/3).
Repeat behind. 6. Open out the nose point, and fold where indicated. Close back up. 7. Inside-reverse fold the outter two points as far as they will go. Open the model, bringing the middle point down (backside-up). **** There are a couple of problems with Step 8 diagrams: First, the point behind should not be pointed up. This is the snout and should already be rabbit eared and sticking out to the side (behind). Second, I neglected to diagram the fold which points the front point downward. This valley fold should be approximately even with the meeting point of the converging sides.
8. Valley fold point up (app. 2/3).
9. Swivel fold both sides as indicated 10. Inside-reverse fold both points upward. Adjust the paper to where it is alligned with the edge of the top point. 11. Valley fold the four corners where indicated... ... like this. Turn model over.
12. Valley fold both points down
... like this. Close model up (redo the rabbit ear folds).
***** Please note that the eyes should
already be folded at this point, although they are not shown. The tabs that are folded down in this step should tuck in (somewhat) behind the eyes.
13. Squash fold.
Repeat behind. 14. Valley fold the ear up, and mountain fold the back point inside. Repeat behind. 15. Inside-reverse fold the tip of the nose. Spread the back part of the model.Valley fold the middle point down and tuck it in the pocket (between the nose and eyebrow).... ... like this.
16. Pinch the top of the nose, and
squash fold the point downward; then fold the end up. Pinch nose flat. Mountain fold the small corner at the base of the top jaw (repeat behind), and inside-reverse fold the bottom tip as indicated. 17. Shape out the nose. *The reference line should be red instead of black. 18. Mountain fold as indicated to shape out the ears. * The picture below shows these as valley folds. 19. SHAPE TO TASTE.
