Geology is the earths science in which it studies the history of the earths

internal structure and composition, earths surface and also geological

processes. For geology several branches such as structural geology,

mineralogy, geophysics and geomorphology.

It is the study of several processes on earths surface such as weathering

erosion transportation sedimentation and diagnosis .It studies several types

of minerals and also rocks (sedimentary rocks, igneous rocks metamorphic

rocks

Geology also sheds the light on mass wasting folding faulting and all

processes happened on earths surface and its effects on human

interferences (buildings, lands, excavation, trees .)

For this study of earths land , Phoenicia university organized a field trip by

doctor abed shehade who did his efforts in teaching us all what we need for

theories in class explaining for us perfectly the objectives of this course and

give us a view about futures observations .

This field trip was done on Saturday, January 14, 2017 and we made several

stops in our way from the university to the places we observed their

geological fields.
