Text: Objectives: Sleep apnea obstructive (OSA) is a condition with a frequency of 4-6%. Based on
preliminary research it demonstrated a strong association between obesity and sleep apnea
obstructive form (about 65% of patients diagnosed with this disorder are obese).
Scope: Is to show association between OSA with other comorbidities and treatment effect on
disease.
Methods: We studied 100 patients diagnosed with OSAS who were registered Marius Nasta
Pneumology Institute of Bucharest between 2013-2014, patients were randomly selected
Patients were reassessed at 2, 6, 12 months.
Results and conclusion: Studies have shown a great frequency of hypertension, obesity,
dyslipidemia, as well as ORL disorders being more common in patients with severe OSA.
