Instructor at The University of Arizona College of Nursing in the course entitled “Acute and
Chronic llIness Management II”. This course integrates the principles of advanced medical and
surgical nursing theory, pathophysiology, and pharmacology into high acuity nursing practice. |
supervised this student in a high acuity medical/ surgical clinical practice setting including
intermediate care and intensive care units. In addition, | observed this student actively
Participating in clinical development sessions including simulation and lab settings.
Kimberly is a strong student who is a self-directed, independent learner and seeks
clinical experiences which challenge her to grow in the delivery of integrated nursing care. She
demonstrates strong critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities with high acuity patient
Populations. She also demonstrates excellent insight into patient and family care needs and
uses clear communication skills as a developing patient advocate.
