To whom it may concern:

When a student makes such a meaningful contribution like Yesika Castillo has made to our
school and to her fellow students it's easy to recommend her. Ms. Castillo has been an
exceptional student at El Capitan High School for the past three years of her high school career
excelling at academics and devoting her time to helping others. I have had the pleasure of
knowing Yesika for two years and I find her to be an extraordinary young woman.

In the time I have spent with Yesika I have witnessed her emerge and mature into the strong
and assertive student that she is today. She exhibits rare organization skills while working as a
teachers assistant in the Counseling Office during her junior and senior year. She has taken
every task and surpassed expectations even under extreme pressure and time restraints. She
has shown great leadership qualities while being a part of FFA and floral design and not to
mention she is widely respected and admired by her peers. She has applied her hard working
principles to her academics by maintaining a GPA of 3.57 and being a member of California
Scholarship federation.

Along with her hobbies and her impressive academics, Yesika has volunteered her time in many
different ways. She is an academic mentor, lending her many experiences to lower classmen
who are struggling in spanish class. She is also a devoted assistant in the pal program. Her
selflessness is evident when she works with the special needs students in an extremely caring
and compassionate way. On her downtime she cooks for her family and is an avid soccer
player. Her future plans include her attending CSU Stanislaus and obtaining her bachelor
degree in liberal studies and pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher.
